Greetings from the British Masters at Woburn.
It was a glorious morning earlier today for the staging of the Ron Moseley Memorial Trophy.
Seven AGW members and guest Dale Concannon teed-up just after 8am on the magnificently presented Dukes Course.
AGW Chairman Derek Lawrenson teed off first and some four hours later Derek was top of the leader board and capturing the trophy for a first time since it was first played in 1993.
Derek, who scored 31 Stableford points, has also jumped ahead of David Facey by four points and with one event remaining – the AGW Championship – in the much sought after 2015 Race to Wentworth sponsored by ETIQUS Watches champion.
Neil McLeman, competing in his first AGW golf meeting this year, was second with 30 points and Martin Dempster, a prior Ron Moseley winner in 2009, third with 29 points.
Neil and Steve Newell each won a nearest to the pin prize.
Our thanks especially to Woburn in affording the AGW tee times on the Dukes Course and to Steve Todd at the European Tour for the generous offer of prizes.
PLEASE NOTE – I will send out full details shortly of the 2015 AGW Championship to be held on Wednesday 25th November on the Edinburgh Course at Wentworth.
