GolfDays1a Judicious Association of Golf Writers (AGW) correspondent Dick Turner has gone straight to the top of the 2015 ETIQUS Golfer of the Year title chase with his victory in Monday’s R & A Salver at St. Andrews.

Dick, who has been a member of the AGW since 2009, posted 37 Stableford points over this year’s Open Championship venue and in the now annual R & A Media Facilitation Day.

If fact, it was the Daily Record’s Craig Swan who took out the leading honours with 40 points and with Dick heading those AGW members competing on the Old Course.

The R & A Salver was first contested in 2013 and with Dick now joining Phil Casey (2013) and Dan Murphy (2014) as winners.

Dick’s victory at the Home of Golf is his second AGW triumph after having captured the 2011 Michael Williams Hogget.

The team of the R & A’s Johnnie Cole-Hamilton and AGW members Andy Farrell and Nick Rodger took out the team prize. GolfDays1b
