UK-based members of the Association may have seen last Thursday’s BBC TV episode of ‘Eggheads‘ as proudly appearing on this particular edition of the quiz show was AGW member James (Jim) Mossop.
Jim joined the AGW in 1988 and he’s a former correspondent for the Sunday Telegraph and Sunday Express. He was briefly asked by the show’s host Jeremy Vine about his career and in particular the joy at playing Augusta National during many of Jim’s years reporting on the Masters.
But as Jim pointed out to Vine his strength is sport but bizarrely found himself staring at a range of ‘food’ related questions.
According to Wikipedia only once have the Eggheads lost four games in succession and only twice has a team of all five challengers won the final round.
