Jock MacVicar – AGW member 1965 to 2021; AGW President 2018-2021

The Jock MacVicar Memorial award is presented each year in memory of Scottish-born golf correspondent, Jock MacVicar.

Jock was a member of the Association of Golf Writers (AGW) from 1965 to his passing as the AGW president in April 2021 at the age of 83.

The trophies were commissioned by the respective DP World Tour and Ladies European Tour on the AGW’s behalf to commemorate Jock.

It is awarded to the leading Scottish-born male player at the close of the Scottish Open and also the leading Scottish-born female player at the close of the Women’s Scottish Open.

If a Scottish male or female golfer does not make the halfway, then there is no award.
