In his first full year as a member of the AGW, Mark Townsend turned in a superb performance to win the Ron Moseley Trophy – the first of the season’s AGW meetings – at Kingsbarns earlier this week.

On a day kindly arranged by IMG and Ricoh, to help promote the Ricoh Women’s British Open in July, Mark accumulated 42 points off a handicap of eight to beat Peter Dixon into second place by a margin of seven points.

In what was a magnificent display of golf, the champion had two birdies and 13 pars in a two over par gross score of 74.

It takes Mark straight to the top in the ETIQUS – AGW Golfer of the Year race.
